The Last Five Years | Description and Partners
An emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show's unique structure consists of Cathy, the wife, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the husband, tells his story chronologically.
With an emphasis on reflection and degradation of memory, this production featured Travis Ty Burge as Jamie and Annie Burge as Kathy, students from Odessa College as the witnesses to their relationship, elaborate stage/lighting design by David Yates, phenomenal musical direction by Anthony Vickery, innovative sound design by Jacob Henry, unique directorial vision by Alec Lee Williams, and the costuming design prowess of Kathryn Haney Parsley.
This project was supported in part by assistance from Odessa Arts, Lubbock Moonlight Musicals, Odessa College, and Cashway West Ace Hardware and took place in the Great Globe of the Southwest at Odessa College.
Alec Lee Williams was the producer/director for The Last Five Years by Jason Robert Brown
